Clevedon Care is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, who give up their time to help people in the BS21 postcode area access medical appointments within Clevedon and further afield.
We are looking to increase our team of Office Volunteers (Duty Officers) to meet the increasing demand on our service. All we ask is that you are confident in using a phone, enjoy working as part of a small team and can commit to one morning a fortnight on average. Clients phone the office, provide details of appointment, Duty Officers then contact drivers to find one with availability and then phone the client back to confirm the travel details.
The office is currently open weekdays at the following times 9:30am – 12:30pm and is based at the YMCA in Marson Road. We currently operate a card index system, and all new volunteers will receive training and then work with an experienced volunteer for support.
