Move of the clinical healthcare team from Riverbank to St Georges
You may have read in previous newsletters, on the website, in correspondences and notices across our sites that the clinical Primary Healthcare Team at Riverbank will be relocating to our St Georges site. Due to our planned building work having progressed much more quickly than expected, we are delighted to be able to bring our clinical teams together on one site from 19th August 2019.
St Georges site is a wonderful 2012 purpose-built surgery with great parking, contemporary facilities and modern equipment. With the current redevelopment of the premises we will be able to allow for more primary care services including GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Nurses and Health Care Assistants to deliver their services from the St Georges site for the community.
Our Riverbank site will continue to remain open for our non-clinical team as well as our supplementary services including (but not exclusive to) Mental Health Services, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, MSK services, AAA screening, Diabetic Eye Screening, and Occupational Health Services.
Please do not hesitate to let any of our staff know of any issues and we will be very pleased to try to help.

Our Surgeries across North Somerset
Recently we were granted planning permission to build a new Surgery at Smallway, this will bring together the Yatton and Congresbury Surgeries into a modern fit for purpose building. This site will help to ensure that safe and effective healthcare services continue to be delivered by Mendip Vale Medical Group both now and in the future.
We hope you will agree that neither Yatton or Congresbury are really fit for purpose, we have utilised every inch of space, parking is limited, disabled access is poor and we cannot host other healthcare professionals as there is no spare rooms. Without a new build services are at risk and struggle to manage the growing demands placed upon them
Our Langford and St Georges sites are already both modern purpose built Surgeries. This will make our estate one of the newest and brightest across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucester, servicing a wide and diverse population. Shortly we will commence building work on the first floor at St Georges to expand the clinical space so that the Riverbank team can move across.
The Partners are also mindful at our Sunnyside Surgery we need to review how we can best deliver our services, as more space is required for our expanding patient list size in Clevedon. As it has taken over three years to get to planning approval at Smallway we will over the coming months explore how we can best do this for the years ahead, at the next PPG meeting we will be asking for input into what is felt could work for Clevedon.
